M 109 - Intermediate Algebra Prerequisite: A grade of C (not C-) or higher in M 103 or placement by the department. A review of the fundamental operations and an extensive study of functions, exponents, radicals, linear and quadratic equations. Additional topics include ratio, proportion, variation, progression and the binomial theorem. This course is intended primarily for students whose program of study requires calculus or business math. Other students might consider M 127 . 3 credits
