ENVS 4500 - Environmental Geoscience with Laboratory Prerequisite: MATH 1115 or consent of the instructor. Study of the geological systems important in understanding the causes of and solutions to environmental problems. Includes basic geological principles, examination of natural hazards, their causes and mitigation, and mineral, energy, and water resources. Laboratories include practical exercises, data collection, problem-solving, and case histories. Some weekend field trips may be required. Laboratory fee. 4 credits.
