SCLP 3360 - Figure Sculpture II (Lyme Academy)

Prerequisite: SCLP 2225. A deeper exploration of the sculpted figure is presented in this course. Working from the live model and from imagination, students will examine various ways of utilizing form, materials, scale and style to create complex figural compositions with unique expressive force. The work of noteworthy sculptors from the past and present will be discussed, and the many methodologies used to sculpt the human form by contemporary artists will be presented by the instructor. 1.5-3 credits.
