CE 603 - Contaminant Fate and Transport in the Environment This course covers the fundamental principles of contaminant behavior in the environment. Contaminant physical-chemical properties, transport, and transformation mechanisms affecting contaminant distribution among air, water, and solid domains are studied in-depth. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, environmental interface equilibria, advective and diffusional transport; biochemical exchange in atmospheric, aquatic, and terrestrial domains. Environmental modeling is also considered. 3 credits
