CE 629 - Wood Engineering I Prerequisites: A structural analysis course and a structural design course. Course may not be taken for credit by students who have completed the undergraduate equivalent of this course. Study of the growth and structure of wood and how these influence wood strength, durability, preservation, and fire protection. Analysis and design of structural members of wood using Allowable Stress Design (ASD) method including beams, columns, and connections; design of wood structures.
