DGAD 2001 - Multimedia Communication

The advent of digital communication has ushered changes into virtually every aspect of modern life. This course gives students hands-on instruction in how to use digital media tools to produce interactive and media-rich stories while adapting communication to intercultural contexts.  Students will explore the fundamental applications and concepts that are the basic building blocks of digital communication: audio, image and video, Internet and web design, as well as social media. Practical elements of creating digital presentations, digital portfolios, and the use of authoring software are studied through projects while exploring the relationship between media, content and message. 3 credits.
