MARA 1102 - Applications of Marine Affairs

In this course, students interpret theoretical content in marine affairs with the primary objective of exploring aspects of its application in real world situations. Through different methods that include readings, videos, guest speaker presentations, and hands-on exercises, students are exposed to the most prevalent methods for applying marine affairs knowledge into decision-making, as well as education and outreach efforts. Students also explore and learn about research and career opportunities within the field of marine affairs. 3 credits.
