HTMG 3316 - Hospitality Finance and Revenue Management

Prerequisites: BANL 2200, HTMG 2250. This course prepares students for the essential skills related to analyzing data as part of operations decisions in the various hospitality related industries. The course prepares the student for taking the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) exam and includes participation in the national STR competition in Hospitality Analytics. Additionally, Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) membership is included. Topics include investment trends and analysis, lease and purchase considerations, pricing models, working capital finance, and audit & financial management. Students are responsible for the cost and fees required for the CHIA examination and HFTP membership. 3 credits.
