CIVL 3323 - Civil Engineering Materials

Prerequisite: EASC 2222. This course consists of theoretical and experimental study of: ferrous and nonferrous metals; physical properties in relation to the phase diagram. Introduction to plastics and other materials. The relationship of cement, aggregates, water and other constituents of concrete to its strength, durability, and other properties. Study of physical properties of wood and asphalt. Application of concrete and asphalt to pavements. 2-3 credits.
