ENGL 2200 - Studies in Literature

Prerequisite: ENGL 1110 or ENGL 1112 or ENGL 1113 or consent of the department. This course provides students with an introduction to literary genres and writing about literature. Skills developed include close reading, literary analysis and interpretation, research, and critical writing. Attention is paid to literary techniques, terminology, and critical theories. Course topics vary depending on the focus chosen by the instructor. 3 credits.
