INVS 4502 - International and National Sports Gambling Markets

This course examines the sports gambling market, both legal and illegal. Students will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the gambling market system to gain a complete understanding of the monitoring systems. The course introduces students to the top bookmaking sites in the world so they can see how pervasive the international gambling markets can be. This course incorporates real historical scenarios revealed from professional gamblers, and former match-fixers. We will also explore how the bookmakers and monitoring systems can be 'gamed'. 3 credits.
