INSE 3320 - Optimization and Applications Prerequisite: MATH 3311 . Co-requisite: SYST 3346 . The course will cover fundamental concepts of optimization theory, linear, integer and nonlinear optimization, and metaheuristic methods and approximation algorithms for solving large-scale optimization problems. The primary focus of the course is on applications of operations research in different areas and algorithms to use in solving these problems. 3 credits.
