PUBH 2270 - Injury Prevention

Prerequisites: PUBH 2200, HLTH 2260. This course will familiarize students with the causes and incidence of injuries and will explore public health approaches to research and prevention of injuries. Age-related distribution of injuries, risk factors and causes of injuries, and prevention and injury reduction efforts will be covered. New risk factors for injuries, as well as new efforts in injury control, will be discussed. 3 credits.
