ELEC 4475 - Embedded Systems: System on Chip

Prerequisites: ELEC 1155, ELEC 3371. Design of system-on-chip embedded systems using FPGA hardware. Semester long projects will examine how to create an IP Core in a hardware description language, integrate IP Cores with an embedded CPU, and C programming to access the IP Core. Lecture topics will cover FPGA hardware, overview of bus interaction, memory timing, cost/consumer considerations in hardware design. 3 credits.
