PARA 2231 - Anatomy and Physiology for Paramedicine II Prerequisites: FIRE 2275 or PARA 2275 , a grade of C or better in PARA 2230 or BIOL 2259 . This course is the second part of a two-course sequence designed to integrate the study of the structure and function of the human body. With emphasis on systems and regulation of physiologic functions, this course studies the role of organs of the endocrine, cardiovascular, immune, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive (including nutrition), urinary (including fluid and electrolyte balance), and reproductive (including development) systems in maintaining homeostasis and responding to its disruption by disease conditions. Course includes laboratory activities to reinforce conceptual elements. 4 credits.
