PADM 6608 - Fostering High Impact Boards

All 501c3 nonprofit organizations are legally required to have a board, yet many are unable to use their board effectively to achieve their organizational mission. This course focuses on nonprofit boards and best practices of nonprofit governance with topics such as what it means to be a purpose-driven board, the core responsibilities of board members, the relationship between staff and board, and ongoing board development practices. Learning outcomes will be achieved through the use of case studies. 3 credits.
