DHYG 1110 - Introduction to Dental Hygiene II

Prerequisite: DHYG 1105 or consent of the instructor. This course provides students with a survey of contemporary issues encountered by dental health care professionals. Emphasis is placed on comprehensive dental care and dental specialties; health promotion and disease prevention; infection control in dentistry; occupational health and safety in the dental office; ethics and laws that affect the dental hygienist; and appropriate communication in the dental office. 1 credits.
