CJST 2250 - Scientific Methods in Criminal Justice Prerequisite: CJST 1100 . This course is designed to introduce students to basic issues of research design and methodology. Students will be introduced to the scientific method of inquiry, and will learn a number of the tools and strategies that social scientists use to answer research questions. Topics will include the development of research questions, ethical issues in research, types of observations, the importance of samples, pre/post-test designs, data analysis, evaluation of policy, and reporting research. 3 credits.
