EASC 2232 - Project Management and Engineering Economics Prerequisite: EASC 1112 or program coordinator approval. or knowledge of the fundamentals of project management and familiarity with the basic concepts of probability and statistics. An introduction to project management (PM) and engineering economics (EE) with emphasis on integrating the two subjects in a team environment. Topics include project selection, project chartering, project planning, risk assessment, time value of money, present, future worth, break-even, and rate of return analyses, cost estimation, depreciation, and taxation from an engineering perspective. A semester long team project is typically given students to expose the PM and EE knowledge on a product design and market release problem as well as enhance interpersonal communication, time management, and team work skills. 3 credits.
