FIRE 4447 - Instructor Capstone Seminar

Prerequisites: the following certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS). This course prepares the student for the final phase of EMS Instruction. The student is prepared as an instructor to deliver advanced educational programs in the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS), Heartsaver, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). The program also includes preparation to instruct in Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to national standards. This course may be taught through a special agreement with the Yale New Haven Sponsor Hospital Program. 3 credits.
