PSCI 1125 - Introduction to Public Policy This course will explore the role of public policy in American society and in a democracy; the institutions and actors that influence public policy making; the process by which public policy is developed, implemented, and evaluated; the principles and techniques of policy analysis; and how citizens may participate in public policy making. Following exploration of the theoretical principles of public policy making, the course will examine a critical public policy challenge facing the nation and analyze the issue in the context of the principles discussed in class. 3 credits.
