INTS 1100 - Introduction to Interdisciplinary Studies Prerequisite: ENGL 1112 or ENGL 1113 or ENGL 1114 . This course provides a foundation in inquiry that introduces students to interdisciplinary approaches to describing, analyzing, and exploring current issues or problems of local, national, and/or global significance. Through careful reading, class discussion, and writing assignments, students will develop strategies for identifying disciplines that affect and inform aspects of the world that they find fascinating and problems they want to solve. By the end of the course, students will be able to articulate the value of engaging in lifelong interdisciplinary learning as it pertains to responsible global citizenship, their academic pursuits, and their professional interests. 3 credits.
