SLPA 6705 - Teaching Students with Exceptionalities

Prerequisite: SLPA 6600. This course provides a background of the characteristics of students with exceptionalities. The needs of students with exceptionalities in the K-12 setting are reviewed to include those with special needs and children who are identified as gifted/talented. Strategies for content modification, accommodations, and differentiated instruction are discussed. 3 credits.
