CJST 2280 - Serial Criminals

Prerequisite: CJST 1100. This course examines descriptions of different types of serial criminals, as well as current psychological, social, and criminological theories related to this behavior. In addition, the course focuses on investigation techniques, risk assessment and profiling practices, and various available treatment modalities. Finally, typologies of offender motivations and theories of how victims are chosen are explored. 3 credits.
