CSCI 4475 - Advanced Computer Networks

Prerequisite: ELEC 3330. This course covers network protocols in the OSI and TCP/IP stack in detail including theoretical foundation, algorithm evaluation, implementation, and functional components. The course also uses advanced hands-on labs to implement, analyze, and evaluate network protocols and their functionalities. The course also covers wireless network technologies including various wireless spectrums, wireless communication foundation, and principles of signal propagation. Internet of Things (IoT) will be introduced as a progression of wireless sensor networks. The course will include both lectures and hands-on labs 3 credits.
