PADM 4407 - Introduction to Social Work

This course will familiarize students with the profession of social work and current social problems. Students will explore career opportunities and learn the values, ethics, and principles of social work practice. The course will assist students in examining issues of diversity, oppression, and social justice in key practice areas: criminal justice, mental health, substance use, healthcare, public health, children and families, older adults, and housing and homelessness. 3 credits.
