THEA 4485 - Student New Works Festival

Prerequisite: THEA 1131 or THEA 3332 or consent of the instructor. Students, with the help and guidance of faculty advisors, will produce a festival of new work, using original scripts written by students in the previous semester. The class, operating under a specific budget, will collaborate on all elements of production, including production management, artistic direction, marketing, directing, dramaturgy, acting, technical support and design, casting, and more. Faculty mentors will serve as advisors and mediators as needed, with students exercising maximum freedom and responsibility. 1-3 credits.
