HIST 1121 - The Making of Early America This course explores the origins of American society and focuses on the people and groups that molded its foundation. A key focus of this course is on how the actions of ordinary individuals - both for good and for ill - contributed to the making of America and the values that it has embodied. Topics covered include indigenous civilizations, colonialism, slavery, nationalism, expansion, industry, and societal divisions. 3 credits.
