HLTH 1141 - Pandemics and Public Health Threats

This course challenges students to think critically about the novel coronavirus pandemic of 2020 and other public health threats. This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of epidemiology, outbreak investigation, public health practice, and the social determinants of health. Other topics include foodborne illnesses, disordered eating behaviors, racism as a public health concern, and other emerging pandemics. 3 credits.
