FINC 3645 - Equity Valuation Research

Prerequisite: FINC 2213. Case studies are used to provide an analytical framework integrating accounting and finance concepts for fundamental equity valuation. Includes financial statement analysis, financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and investment fundamentals. Students select an equity to analyze, build a financial model, and write a professional research report recommending and defending a target price for the stock. Methodologies are applied to real companies, developing practical skills used by both buy and sell-side equity research analysts. 3 credits.
