FINC 3315 - Quantitative Trading Strategies


This course focuses on quantitative-based derivative strategies by utilizing statistical principles and measurements. The concepts can be used in bull, bear, or sideways markets as well as be implemented within corporate finance hedging strategies. Topics include derivative markets, principles of statistical arbitrage, trade setup and management, leverage within equity and futures markets, and market correlations. In addition, the class will focus heavily on hands-on trading in real-time using multi-leg trade strategies and management techniques discussed in class. Students will obtain a solid introduction to using various retail trading software platforms and an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses in relation to various types of analysis. 3 credits.
