DSCI 6612 - Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Prerequisite: CSCI 6651 or DSCI 6602 . An introduction to the fundamental methods of artificial intelligence (AI) used in problem solving. Techniques include heuristic search, game playing, sequential decision making, reinforcement learning, machine learning, and probabilistic reasoning. This course will introduce the basic ideas and techniques underlying the design of intelligent computer systems. A specific emphasis will be on the statistical and decision-theoretic modeling paradigm. Cross-listed with CSCI 6660 . 3 credits.
