FINC 6617 - Mergers and Acquisitions

Prerequisite or co-requisite: FINC 6613. Provides an in-depth analysis of mergers and acquisitions and related careers within the capital markets division of large and mid-sized investment banks. The course covers the history of investment banking and mergers and acquisitions and the regulatory environment that has provided the necessary ethical standards and transparency. The course will introduce students to buy-side and sell-side transactions and the processes required to achieve a successful outcome in each. 3 credits.
