CLRE 6100 - Fundamentals of Medical Product Development and Regulation

This course introduces the student to the processes involved in the discovery and development of medical products, the pharmaceutical industry, and the regulatory requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The function of pre-clinical and clinical research in medical product development and the roles of investigator, sponsor, and clinical monitor are discussed. 3 credits.
