EDGM 4598 - Esport and Digital Game Management Internship I

Prerequisite: minimum sophomore standing. Co-requisites: BUSA 4500. The Esport and Digital Game Management Internship offers students a transformative opportunity to complement their formal education with practical field experience. Students will intern at organizations aligned with their academic training and professional aspirations within the esports and digital gaming industries. The internship emphasizes experiential learning, critical reflection, and the application of business and management principles to real-world challenges in areas such as event management, marketing, sponsorship, and operational strategy.

An internship coordinator or faculty advisor will guide students through the experience, ensuring alignment with academic objectives and career readiness. This course satisfies program experiential learning requirements and contributes to the Esport & Digital Game Management program's emphasis on industry engagement and portfolio development.  3 credits.
