University Core Curriculum (40 credits)

The completion of 40 credits of University Core Curriculum with the following restrictions is required:

CC 1: ENGL 1112 or ENGL 1113
CC 2: COMM 1130
CC 3: MATH 1108 or higher
CC 4: any course approved for competency 4
CC 5: UNIV 1141
CC 6: any course approved for competency 6
CC 7: SOCI 1113
CC 8: any course approved for competency 8
CC 9: any course approved for competency 9
Plus 12 credits of Tier 2 courses from any competency

Required Courses (33 credits)

Students earning the B.S. degree in criminal justice are required to complete at least 121 credits, including the University Core Curriculum and the common courses for criminal justice majors listed below:

Concentration in Crime Victim Services (48 credits)

Students earning the B.S. degree in criminal justice with a concentration in crime victim services must complete the University Core Curriculum, the common courses for criminal justice majors listed above, and the following:

CJST 2206 - Victims and Victimization
CJST 3320 - Working with Criminal Justice System Clients
CJST 4413 - Victim Law and Service Administration
CJST 3315 - Domestic Violence
or
CJST 4411 - Victimology
Plus twelve free electives
