Environmental Science Minor

Return to: College of Arts and Sciences
The minor in environmental science provides a useful background for students majoring in other areas who have concern for the environment. The environmental science minor is intended for students who want to enhance their knowledge in environmental science in order to complement their major, broadly explore curriculum across the department, or prepare for post-graduate degree or career work. Students will complete no fewer than three laboratory courses. For some courses or restricted elective options, there are prerequisites including MATH, CHEM, or BIOL courses. Some of these prerequisites may have a minimum grade requirement. Students must review their proposed courses with the Environmental Science Program Coordinator prior to submitting the minor declaration form. No more than two courses from their major, concentration, or another minor may be applied to the Environmental Science Minor. Five courses are required with a minimum total of 18 credits.
