A total of 33-36 credits is required for the degree of master of science in criminal justice. All degree candidates must complete the following 12 credits of core curriculum:
Program Outcomes:
- Understand the basic core components of the criminal justice system.
- Students will continue to refine skills developed at UNH to analyze real world data and will understand its importance in the criminal justice setting.
- Students will understand how the skills developed during their time within the graduate program enhances their career opportunities.
- Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the ethical and professional duties and responsibilities of employment within the criminal justice field.

Comprehensive Examination Track
Graduate students on the comprehensive examination track (default option) complete 24 credits of elective courses in criminal justice and/or related fields in addition to a required, non-credit comprehensive final examination.
Thesis Track
Graduate students on the thesis track (elective option) complete 12 credits of elective courses plus 12 credits of the following required courses:
