M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Program Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate competence in all 8 core domains of counseling, as well as the concentration of clinical mental health counseling.
- Students successfully synthesize major theoretical concepts in the core counseling curriculum and their concentration area with their practicum experience.
- Students demonstrate, at a professional level, applied intervention skills in the internship.
The program consists of 60 credits, 48 of which compose the core curriculum completed by all students, and 12 of which constitute one of three concentration areas: general, forensic mental health, or community development.
Concentration in Forensic Mental Health
The 12-credit forensic mental health concentration prepares students for counseling specifically focused on care of offenders or victims in forensic settings.
