The B.A. in Game Development and Interactive Media is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students for a wide range of careers in both the gaming industry and in other industries in which gaming concepts and skills have become increasingly prominent. The program provides a broad exploration of how games are built, technically and artistically, as well as how they function as artistic and cultural expressions. The program also allows students to pursue more focused explorations of their passions for specific aspects of game development. All students will work individually and collaboratively to build their own games, drawing upon skills developed in courses that focus on narrative, writing, music, visual arts, and more. Students who complete the program will be well positioned to pursue careers in the gaming industry, including in game production, development, testing, design, writing, art, and music.
