Sport Management Minor

Requirements for Minors

• At least 50% of the minor courses must be unduplicated, i.e., not used to simultaneously satisfy credit requirements of the major, core curriculum, or additional minors.
• At least 50% of the minor courses must be completed in residence at UNH.
• A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor (programs may set higher requirements).
• A student may not declare a major and minor in the same program.

This minor offers students an opportunity to explore topics in sport industry. Students will begin with a foundational course introducing various segments and functional areas within sport industry and follow up with electives targeting their interest areas such as front office, marketing, media and event and venue operations. The minor in sport management consists of 15 undergraduate credits.

By the completion of the minor, the student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of fundamental business concepts within sport industry.
