The Intelligence Analysis degree reflects the continually evolving nature of intelligence analysis, with an emphasis on teaching the necessary academic knowledge and analytical skills students will need in the assessment and collection, correlation, and analysis of intelligence data, especially relating to national security, law enforcement, military, or business intelligence.
Program Learning Goals
- How the United States intelligence communities have evolved and function, their capabilities and activities.
- What the intelligence cycle is and how it operates from planning, data collection, exploitation, analysis, production, and dissemination phases.
- How to analyze potential solutions to contemporary problems and anticipate future intelligence challenges and threats.
- How to evaluate ways in which intelligence analysis supports policy makers and their decisions.
Program Outcomes

University Core Curriculum
The completion of 40 credits of University Core Curriculum with the following restrictions is required:
Tier 1 Requirements:
C1T1 - ENGL 1112 or ENGL 1113 or ENGL 1114
C2T1 - COMM 1130
C3T1 - MATH 1108 or higher
C4T1 - Any Tier 1 science course with a laboratory (4 credits)
C5T1 - UNIV 1125
C6T1 - HIST 1102
C7T1 - PSYC 1111
C8T1 - Foreign Language
C9T1 - Any Tier 1 Perspectives on Creative Arts course
Tier 2 Requirements:
12 credits of Tier 2 courses - NSEC 3342 and OSCH 4501 are suggested
Intelligence Analysis Restricted Electives
Students must complete 12 credits from the following restricted electives:
