Requirements for Minors
- At least 50% of the minor courses must be unduplicated, i.e., not used to simultaneously satisfy credit requirements of the major, core curriculum, or additional minors.
- At least 50% of the minor courses must be completed in residence at UNH.
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor (programs may set higher requirements).
- A student may not declare a major and minor in the same program.
In this program, students study the lands, societies, and states stretching from Europe to Asia, drawing on the multidisciplinary experience and professional expertise of faculty from across the university. The program advisor will help students in selecting courses to shape a focused, purposeful academic experience that positions them for continuing learning beyond the classroom and after graduation. This minor requires the completion of 18 credits.
Upon completion of this certificate, students will be able to:
- Utilize perspectives and principles from differing academic disciplines to explain social and state structures in the countries of Eurasia.
- Identify and interpret important geographic, demographic, and ethnic features related to the land and peoples of Russia in its Eurasian context.
- Analyze the strategic, ethical, and economic aspects of politics in Eurasia.
- Interpret the relationship between textual and visual materials, and cultural and social movements in the Eurasian context.
