Students earning a B.A. degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and Digital Media will build specialized knowledge and skills related to public relations across a variety of platforms and contexts in addition to acquiring a solid grounding in digital media production. Through coursework emphasizing writing, campaigns, and audience awareness, as well as laboratory and field experiences in digital media design and production along with internship opportunities, students will learn to become competent and well-rounded public relations professionals.
Students earning a B.A. degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and Digital Media are required to complete a total of 121 credits as follows.
Program Outcomes
Students completing the program will:
- Complete increasingly complex real-world aesthetic and skill-based projects in communication.
- Use industry-based software and equipment to address increasingly complex real-world tasks or problems.
- Design effective print and digital products for a target audience using audience analysis.
- Produce effective marketing/informational products using knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of various media.

The completion of 40 credits of university core courses with these restrictions:
- C2T1: DGAD 2001 - Multimedia Communication
- C1T2: Written Communication
- C8T2: Global and Intercultural Awareness
- C9T2: Perspectives on Creative Arts
