Sport Communication Minor

Requirements for Minors

• At least 50% of the minor courses must be unduplicated, i.e., not used to simultaneously satisfy credit requirements of the major, core curriculum, or additional minors.
• At least 50% of the minor courses must be completed in residence at UNH.
• A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor (programs may set higher requirements).
• A student may not declare a major and minor in the same program.

This minor combines courses in Arts and Design, Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing and Sport Management. Students who minor in Sport Communication will develop competencies to perform roles such as a Sports Information Director, the ability to represent a team and/or brand through visual and written communication. A total of 18 credits of required courses and restricted electives must be earned in order for a student to declare the area of study as a completed minor.
