Lean/Six Sigma Certificate

This certificate provides a solid foundation in Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools that are essential to process improvement in manufacturing or service systems.  Students will be equipped with knowledge and skills to apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to identify, define, analyze, and develop solutions for process improvement related problems.  The certificate is a 12-credit program and is comprised of four courses.

By the end of this program, students will be able to:

1. Identify appropriate Lean Six Sigma tools in each phase of the DMAIC process
2. Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to manufacturing or service systems and processes
3. Perform statistical decision making in the context of process improvement
