Quality Engineering Certificate

This certificate provides a solid foundation in fundamental concepts and methods essential to quality control and improvement in all types of industries and sectors. Students will be equipped with knowledge and skills to identify, define, analyze and develop solutions for quality related problems using statistical quality control, Lean Six Sigma, and experimental design methodologies. The certificate is a 12-credit program and is comprised of four courses.

By the end of this certificate program, students should be able to perform the following functions in applications related to quality control and improvement:

• Identify systems problems in organizations (manufacturing, production, service, governmental, etc.) by applying quality engineering principles, tools, and methods
• Apply quality tools and methods in improving processes
• Perform statistical decision analysis using software and advanced tools such as process capability analysis and design of experiments
