Terrorism Analysis Certificate

This 12-credit graduate certificate provides students with an opportunity to pursue specialized education to understand the causes and implications of both domestic and international terrorism. Students learn fundamental principles of national security and theories of political violence as perpetrated by non-state actors. The certificate is flexible in structure and intended for those interested in careers as either practitioners or researchers.
Program Outcomes:
- Evaluate potential threats emanating from non-state actors.
- Formulate national security policy responses to counter acts of political violence.
- Differentiate between different types of political violence.
