User Experience (UX) Design, M.P.S.

The User Experience (UX) Design M.P.S. integrates a set of research and technical tools, user-centered design, leadership and team building, critical thinking and practical skills that will empower students to be tomorrow's leaders in the user experience design profession.  The structure of the MPS UX Design program initially provides a foundation in human-centered design tools and methodologies. It then develops knowledge through structured UX projects and theoretical courses, emphasizing the interfaces between people, products, and systems. These competencies provide students with the skills needed to become employed in a wide range of careers in UX design.  This program requires the completion of 30 credits. 

Program Outcomes

Successful graduates will meet the following outcomes:

  1. Develop a plan for creating business and social value with UX driven opportunities.
  2. Apply an iterative design process accounting for user feedback.
  3. Apply evaluation and usability testing methods to interactive products to validate design decisions.
  4. Integrate the fundamental concepts and concerns associated with UX Design into a creative project.
