Healthcare Leadership in Health Sciences Certificate

In this certificate students will explore the challenges that occur within healthcare leadership. Students will assess strategies for driving change, integrate quality improvement tools and techniques to monitor, report, and improve the accuracy of clinical data, examine how leadership traits can be applied to healthcare initiatives to improve population health outcomes, and analyze infrastructure in the health informatics sector.
To earn this certificate students must be 1) accepted to the D.H.Sc. program and 2) must be completing or have previously completed the healthcare education concentration.
Program Outcomes
By the end of this certificate program, students will be able to:
- Develop a process for measuring and reviewing patient safety events.
- Create a resource management plan.
- Analyze various leadership styles.
- Examine cultural change within a healthcare organization.
